● If an accident occurs, rinse the burn immediately with cold water and call a doctor if necessary.
● Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals which have a particularly sensitive respiratory
system, such as birds. We advise bird owners to keep them away from the cooking area.
● To preserve the non-stick coating of the cooking plates and pans, always use a plastic or wooden
spatula.
● Use them only with the appliance for which they were designed (e.g.: do not use it in an oven, on a gas
or electric hob, etc).
● Position the power cord carefully, whether an extension is used or not, so that guests can move freely
around the table without tripping over it.
● Pre-heat the appliance for about 5-10 minutes.

● Do not use aluminium foil or other objects under the stone or the plate, or between the reflector and the
heating coil.
● Do not place the plastic cover on the appliance during operation.

● To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall.
● Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass table, tablecloth, varnished furniture,
etc.) or on a soft surface such as a tea-towel.
● Never place the appliance on or near hot or slippery surfaces; never leave the cord hanging over a
heat source (hotplates, gas stove, etc.).
● Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking surfaces of the appliance.
● Do not move the appliance when in use.
● To avoid damaging your appliance, do not prepare flambé recipes or cook food in aluminium foil.
● Do not use metal scourers or scouring powders to avoid damaging the cooking surface.
● Do not place the hot plates and pans on a fragile surface or under water.
● Do not heat the pans and plates when empty.
● Do not cut food directly on the plates or in the pans.

● On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
● The heating coil is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry
cloth.
