Replacing the cutting unit
Unscrew and remove the screw.

Remove the cutting unit from the tool in the di-
rection shown by the arrow.

Put a new cutting unit onto cylinder pin 1 and
push towards the tool until the cutting unit is se-
cured on bolt 2 so that it cannot rotate.

Screw on the screw and washer. Tighten with
2.5 Nm.
Be sure to follow the proper assembly sequence
if the blade and guide plates have loosened!

If one of the plates has loosened while the cut-
ting unit was being replaced, mount it back onto
the cylinder pins in the order 1 – 4.

Reset the insert aid
a Unscrew and remove the screw.
b Remove the housing lid.

a Put the plug onto the pins.
b Connect the contacts marked with B (using a
paper clip or similar).
c The LEDs will flash if the reset was success-
ful.
d Mount the housing lid in the reverse order.

Changing the battery
a Open the housing as described under point 15.
b Carefully remove the circuit board from the
housing until the battery compartment is ac-
cessible.
c Gently remove the old battery from the hold-
er by pressing on the spot marked with an
arrow.
d Insert a new battery (type CR1220: min.
35 mAh).
Make sure that the battery poles are cor-
rectly aligned!
