* If the resistance is not less than 0.5Ω when the probes are short circuited, find out the cause, e.g. loose probes.
* During measurement of a high resistance, it may take several seconds to obtain a stable reading, which is normal.
* The input voltage shall be not higher than DC 30V or AC 30V; otherwise, personal injury may occur.
3. Continuity measurement (see Fig. 5)
If the resistance between measured terminals is greater than 10Ω, the circuit is open and the beeper does not
sound; if the resistance between measured terminals is less than 10Ω, the circuit is normal and the beeper
sounds continuously.
Note:
* During continuity measurement of online circuits, be sure to switch off all power of the measured circuit and
discharge all capacitors completely.
* The input voltage shall be not higher than DC 30V or AC 30V; otherwise, personal injury may occur.
4. Diode measurement (see Fig. 6)
The diode test voltage is 0~3V. "diod" is shown on the auxiliary display.
Note:
* In case of open circuit of the measured diode or reversed polarity, "OL" will appear on the display. For silicon
PN junction voltage measurement, it is generally considered that the value of 500~800mV is normal.
* Before measurement of online diodes, be sure to switch off all power of the measured circuit and discharge
all capacitors completely.
* The input voltage shall be not higher than DC 30V or AC 30V; otherwise, personal injury may occur.
