6.2 Special events in the record

If, during the survey with the detector, an unusual event occurs, and the 'MARK' button has been pressed .
The flag will be visible in the far right hand column of the report .

6.3 GPS

Details of the status of the GPS can be accessed by pressing the 'INFO' button shown above left, and
then GPS . Read the details on the GPS screen above right .
If GPS data has been recorded, the data can be converted by web-based applications and then displayed
on a map . Gas-Tec thus provides a straightforward way to record and pinpoint gas leaks as well as moni-
toring survey progress and paths .
Above is shown an example of a route recorded on a Gas-Tec . It was made using Google Earth
software .
To make a such a map from a .csv file downloaded from a Gas-Tec, Google Earth software must be
installed . The software can be downloaded from http://earth .google .co .uk .
