G Caution with long hair and jewellery. Work
only with close-fitting clothing.
G Wear safety glasses (danger of splashing!)
G Make sure the machine is switched off before
inserting the plug into a socket.
G Always direct power cable to the rear, away
from the machine.
G Always ensure that you have a secure footing
while working.
G Secure the vessel with the mixed substance
against moving on the floor.
G Do not mix explosive substances (e. g. easily
inflammable solvents) and materials with a
combustion point below 21 °C. Observe the
processing instructions of the manufacturer.
G If the machine should fall into the substance
to be stirred, immediately pull out the mains
plug and have the machine overhauled by the
customer service.
G Pay attention to the reaction torque of the
machine.
G Always switch off the machine and allow to
come to a stop before placing it down.
G Do not leave the tool key inserted.
Starting
Ensure that the voltage of the power supply
matches the information on the type plate of the
power tool. Tools with a rating of 230 V can also
be connected to a 220 V/240 V supply.
Check that the plug type is the same as the
socket type.
Improper use may damage the machine.
Observe the following instructions:
- Use only tools up to the specified stirror
diameters.
- Load the instrument in such a way that the
speed would not drop considerably or that it
would stop.
Connecting the mains cable module
(Plug it – MXP 1000 EQ)
The machine is equipped with a quick-change
mains cable module (12). By disconnecting the
mains cable and the machine, both can be
transported easier.
Insert the mains cable module (12) into the
socket (10) of the machine and secure by
turning the sleeve (11) in clockwise direction.
10
To undo the connection, turn the sleeve (11) in
counterclockwise direction and pull the mains
cable module (12) from the socket (10).
Use the mains cable module only for
PROTOOL power tools. Do not attempt to
operate other machines with it.
Auxiliary handle
For safety reasons, always use the auxiliary
handle (1).
Assembling the auxiliary handle
(MXP 1000 EQ)
Assemble the auxiliary handle as shown in Fig.
When assembling the auxiliary handle, tighten
the four screws using a hex key (size 5 mm).
Use only the fastening material included in the
delivery.
Switching on and off
Press the On/Off switch (2) to switch on the
machine. Release again to switch off.
Continuous use
Switching on: Press the On/Off switch (2), hold
and retain with the lock-on button (3).
Switching off: Press and release the On/Off
switch (2).
Speed Control
Lightly pressing the On/Off switch (2) results in
a low rotational speed, allowing a controlled soft
start.
Further pressure on the switch results in an
increase in speed.
Electronic speed pre-selection
The required speed can be pre-selected with the
speed selector thumbwheel (4) (also possible
during operation).
The required speed depends on the material
being machined and can be determined by trial.
When putting a high load on the machine,
always set the speed selector thumbwheel (4) to
the maximum speed.
After long periods at low operating speed, run
the drill at high speed and without load for
approx. 3 minutes, in order to cool the machine
down.
Clamping the stirrer tools
Screw the M 14 x 2 end piece of the stirrer tools
as far as possible into the tool holder (6) and
tighten with the open-end wrench (8) (size 22 mm)
from the accessories.
