2.2 IMPORTANT SAFETY RELATED MEASURES
Read carefully these instructions and follow carefully the this manual contained instructions, especially
those of CAUTION contained in squares and bold written. The manufacturer refuses any responsibility for
damages to persons or things due to non-observance of instructions.
1 Always disconnect the unit from the mains before carrying out any inspection, maintenance or cleaning
operation.
2 Do not allow unqualified personnel to handle, inspect or tamper the unit. Operations on the refrigeration circuit
should not be carried out without the presence of a refrigeration technician.
3 Do not work with free flames inside the unit.
4 Do not by pass the electrical safety devices and do not force machine's functioning..
5 Do not use the unit for applications different as those ones it has been specially designed for.
6 Do not install the unit on surfaces which are unstable or not suitable to withstand its weight.
7 Keep this manual for future reference and make it available at the unit's utilization place.
8 A possibly existing tank must be emptied prior to transportation.
9 Don't cover the superior grate.
Personnel Qualification and Training
Personnel on charge of unit's operation, maintenance, inspection and installation shall have the necessary
qualification to discharge such works. Operating company is held to determine exactly any responsibility sphere,
personnel competence and supervision.
By qualified personnel it is meant those persons who, due to their training, experience and education, as well as their
knowledge of accident preventive norms, regulations and measures and of operating conditions, are authorized by
those responsible for internal safety to carry out all necessary work, and during this to be able to recognize and avoid
any possible danger (definition for technical personnel see also IEC364).
Among other aspects first aid elements and rescue measures on site are also required.
The prohibition of employing unqualified personnel for operations on high voltage units is regulated by the IEC364
norm.
This manual does not contain all information concerning possible manufacturing variables, neither all installation,
service or maintenance cases. Training of personnel being on charge of unit's operation cannot be substitute by the
simple reading of this manual, but shall be given by specialized personnel and shall be considered on customer's
charge.
Risks in case of safety norms non-observance
Consequences deriving from safety norms non-observance might get translated in hazard for persons as for the
environment and the unit. Safety norms non-observance will entail loss of rights to claim damages.
Safety Consciousness at Work
In these operation instructions reported safety norms, existing national regulations for the prevention of accidents at
work, as well as eventual operating company's internal norms concerning, work, operating and safety must be
observed.
Safety Norms for Operating Company / Operator
Any contact hazard protection device against accidental contacts with moving parts must not be removed from
operating units. Hazards deriving from electric power must be excluded (→ For details on this consult, for example,
Electro-technicians Associations' and local power supply utilities' regulations).
