3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The appliance should be placed on a work surface which fits
or exceeds the dimensions of the device. The work surface
must be level, dry and high enough from the ground to
enable proper use of the device.
12
INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
MSW-WIRESTRIPPER-001-370,
MSW-WIRESTRIPPER-002-1500,
MSW-WIRESTRIPPER-008-750
Install the device in an appropriate location using the
included installation materials.
3.3. DEVICE USE
1.
Connect the power cable. Make sure the power
source corresponds to the parameters on the rating
plate.
2.
Turn on the device.
3.
Insert cable/wire into the appropriate cutting
channel. Make sure the cables/wires are free from
any plugs, cables, etc. Cable/wire diameter should
correspond to the cutting channel size. If a cable/
wire is inserted into the wrong channel (e.g., a cable
is inserted into a channel that is too tight) there is
a risk the device will jam. Cable / wire length should
not exceed 90 cm. Do not insert more than one cable
at a time into the cutting channels.
4.
The stripped cable/wire is ejected on the other
side of the device. To avoid tangling, jamming and/
or device damage make sure the area surrounding
the device is free from any obstacles so that ejected
material can fall unhindered.
5.
If the wires/cables have not been stripped properly
(cuts are too shallow or too deep) adjust using the
adjuster (1) and (8 –MSW-WIRESTRIPPER-002-1500,
MSW-WIRESTRIPPER-003-2200 models). Tightening
will increase cut depth, loosening will decrease cut
depth.
6.
If a cable/wire jams between the cutting blades,
make sure the adjusters are not too tight. Such jams
may also be caused by excessive oil on the cables
/ wires. If this is the case, clean the cables / wires
and the cutting blades themselves. Make sure the
device is disconnected from the power source before
cleaning cutting blades!
7.
Switch off device immediately after use.
MSW – WIRESTRIPPER – 001-370 model
a)
When stripping 6 mm-13 mm diameter cables /
wires, raise the plate with the cutting channel holes
(make sure the device is disconnected from the
power source whilst doing this!):
b)
When stripping 1 mm – 6 mm diameter cables /
wires, lower the plate with the cutting channel holes
(make sure the device is disconnected from the
power source whilst doing this!):
Rev. 12.12.2019
c)
If the blade is not cutting along the centre of the
wire/cable, the blade may be off-centre. To adjust
the position of the rollers in relation to the blade,
turn off and unplug the machine. Then, remove the
two side covers (7). Unscrew the nuts on both sides
of the device ((1) – the picture below). Adjust the
roller and blade alignment using the adjuster bolts
(2). When the blades are centred, reinstall the side
covers before running the machine.

For wires / cables with a diameter of 28 – 45 mm: If
the wires / cables have not been stripped properly
(cuts are too shallow or too deep) adjust the device
using the adjusters (1) and (2) in the picture below:
Rev. 12.12.2019
EN
1
2
These adjusters are placed on both sides of the device,
under the rollers and blades, behind the engine door.
Tightening will result in deeper cuts, loosening will result
in shallower cuts.
c)
Additional blades (included in the set) should be
installed in the appropriate holes once the installation
screws have been turned:
Tighten
the
screws
after
inserting the blades.
PLEASE NOTE! Assembly and adjustment should be
performed by a person with appropriate knowledge and
experience. When adjusting the height of the blade, be
careful and always verify that the blade does not come into
contact with the rollers. In the event that the blade collides
with the rollers, the rollers will become damaged, and they
may also be a threat to the life and health of the operator,
i.e. the blade broken by the roller can be thrown out of the
machine with high force. When working on a different type
of cable or changing the position of the rollers, the blades
must always be adjusted.
HAZARDS IN THE COURSE OF USING THE DEVICE
Mechanical hazards may arise during use of the machine.
Mechanical hazards arise whenever injuries may result
from mechanical impact of various components, e.g.,
machine parts, tools, etc. on people. The basic mechanical
hazards include squeezing, crushing, cutting, pulling in or
catching, impact, puncture, abrasion, as well as slipping
and stumbling. These hazards can occur both during
normal machine operation and as a result of irregularities
in machine operation. These irregularities may result
in machine failure. Mechanical hazards can result from:
moving machines, transported loads, moving parts, sharp /
rough components, dropping elements / loads, slippery or
uneven surfaces, limited space, location of the work station
in relation to the ground.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Disconnect the power cable before each cleaning,
adjustment, replacement of accessories and whenever
the device is not in use.
b)
Use non-corrosive cleaners to clean each surface.
c)
Make sure that chains, gears and bearings are
well-lubricated. Use a red grease or molybdenum
disulphide lubricant.
d)
Store the device in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight. For longer storage
periods, apply oil to cutting blades and rollers.
e)
Regular inspections of the device must be carried out
to check for technical efficiency and any damage.
