Determine the degree of door opening required and find
dimensions "A" and "B" in the charts below.
L SCUSH dead stop will occur about 5° beyond normal dead
stop point.

Measure from centerline of hinge/pivot and stick
template on door. Mark drilling holes.

Remove template, and drill holes where marked with a
1/8" drill bit for SRT screws.
L SRT screws are used on metal doors.
Wood screws are used on wood doors.

Measure and determine your door's width. Using a hex
wrench, adjust the closer spring power. Use the table
below to determine number of turns required.
Turn counterclockwise for "-"; turn clockwise for "+"
L These turns are recommended, but may change due to
door weight and environmental conditions.

Install closer onto door.
L Speed regulation valve goes away from the hinge.

Adjust the shoe to match the door handing.
L If RH door, do not adjust shoe. If LH door, change stop
location to opposite side.
For installing SCUSH contact block, see page 3.

Install EDA shoe & fifth hole spacer onto frame.
L Use the fifth hole spaper only if there is a space between
the frame and the shoe.
L Use of 5th Hole limited to reveals greater than 2 ZZ\zn".

Preload closer shaft to 45°, attach main arm to closer.
