time push insulator back on to the cable to remove the contact.
F. Polarizing Shell:
1. Identification.
Each 400 amp plug must be identified two ways, male or female,
and polarizing position.
The male 400 amp shell is illustrated below:
The female 400 amp polarizing shell is illustrated below:
2. Each receptacle on the panel is polarized so that only the plug with the
mating shell will fit. Number one position is always the receptacle which is
farthest left as you face the
panel.
Looking at the end of
each plug (with the
word "Lock" at the
top of the part) the
polarity appears as
follows:
