Cause
No mains voltage present.
Illuminant defective.
Remote control batteries are
too weak.
Remote control is outside the
range of the infrared receiver.
Wrong IR coding.
Infrared receiver is exposed to
direct light.
No mains voltage present.
No proper master-slave con-
nection.
No or more than one EASY
control unit configured as
master.
More than one EASY PC KIT
connected.
Slaves have already been
programmed and have their
own scenes.
Wrong DMX addresses set-
ting.
Termination resistors are not
installed properly.
Wrong cable.
Short circuit.
Too many DMX receiving
devices connected to one
EASY DMX control unit.
Remedy
Switch EASY DMX on using the
external pushbutton. If the DMX
devices do not respond, check the
mains supply.
Replace illuminant.
Check the display.
Replace the batteries if necessary.
Reduce the distance.
Check the IR coding.
Shade the receiver or select another
installation location.
Switch EASY DMX on using the
remote control. If the DMX devices do
not respond, check the mains sup-
ply. If EASY DMX responds, check
pushbutton wiring and master-slave
settings.
Check master-slave settings on all
devices.
Perform a reset and create the
sequence again.
Check the starting addresses of the
DMX devices.
Check if 120 Ω termination resistor is
connected to the first and last DMX
device in the chain.
Activate the internal resistor of EASY
DMX.
Check for more than 2 termination
resistors in the chain.
Use cable type approved for DMX
signal; see "Wiring limitations".
Make sure that DMX shield wire is
not connected to any device chassis.
Reduce number of DMX receiving
devices in the chain.
Use an optically isolated amplifier to
segment the chain.
