□ Always install the strainer on the end of the suction pipe before pumping. The strainer prevents
the pump becoming clogged or damaged by debris.
NOTE
Check that the suction hose is free from narrow throats or bends.
4.2. DISCHARGE HOSE
1.
Place the hose connection sleeve [(c) Fig. 1 2] on the discharge port [(a) Fig. 1 2]. Do not forget to
put the supplied sealing washer [(b) Fig. 1 2] between the port and the hose connection sleeve;
2.
Loose the hose clamp [(d) Fig. 1 2] and place it on the discharge hose [(e) Fig. 1 2];
3.
Put the delivery hose [Fig. 1 3] onto the hose connection sleeve and tighten the hose clamp.
□ Tighten the hose coupling and clamps so that there is no leakage or loss of suction. If the suction
hose is loose, the efficiency and self-priming of the pump are compromised.
□ Tighten the clamps to prevent the hose disconnect under high pressure.
□ Check that the discharge hose is free from narrow throats or bends [Fig. 2 3 and 24].
5. CONTROL AND STARTING PROCEDURES
■ Carefully read the sections «
manual.
□ Always install the pump on a flat and stable floor.
5.1. PRIMING THE PUMP
Your pump is a self-priming pump. A self-priming pump auto-amorçante raises the water by its own
means into the suction pipe by pumping the air therein. For self-priming to work, it is imperative to fill
the pump body with water before starting.
