Roof Top
1. Check the counterweights for excessive dents or deformations. Check the base
counterweights for delamination of the Plastisol coating. If the coating has loose edges that

may catch or double back on itself, the base counterweight should be replaced.
Anchor (Figure 2)
2. Inspect the system for physical damage. Look carefully for any signs of cracks, dents or
deformities in the metal.
3. Inspect the system for severe corrosion.
4. Ensure the condition of the roof will support the Roof Top Counterweight Anchor System
loads. See section 2.
5. Ensure that the L-Bolts and nuts are in good condition and tightened securely. Use of tools
may result in over-tightening, possibly damaging the system.Hardware in poor condition should
be replaced.
6. Rooftop Anchor - Visually inspect the Anchor for signs of deployment (Figure 8). If the
Rooftop Anchor has been subjected to fall arrest forces, or it has an angle of greater than 10°
degrees from vertical requires service and must not be used.
Inspect the entire unit for severe corrosion.

Verify that all labels are securely attached and are legible (see 'Labels')
PFAS and Other
Additional Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) equipment (harness, SRL, etc) that are used with
the Anchorage System should be installed and inspected per the manufacturer instructions.
