Instruction for user

6.1 Working for steam at 57°C
1. Identify the biological indicator to be treated.
2. Insert the biological indicator into the sterilizer.
3. Perform the sterilization cycle.
4. Remove the biological indicator from the sterilizer.
5. Let the biological indicator cool for at least 10 minutes.
6. Check the colour change to be sure that the sterilization has been properly carried out because the
chemical indicator changes colour when it is subjected to steam.
7. Break the glass bulb of the biological indicator which is inside the thermoplastic container by exerting
pressure with the supplied pliers, until the bulb breaks. Perform this operation just a minute before inserting
the indicator in the incubator. The indicator must be inserted in the incubator within and not beyond 1 hour
from the moment it was removed from the sterilizer.
8. Insert the biological indicator in the incubator's heating unit.
9. Check the biological indicator at regular intervals to control the changing of colour (every 18 hours,
24 hours, 36 hours).
10. Incubate the biological indicator for at least 48 hours using as a reference an indicator not treated in
a sterilisation cycle.
11. For the detailed procedure carefully read the instructions for use which are inside the packaging of
the BI.O.K. biological indicators (the biological indicators can be supplied only on demand).
WARNING: "SEE-TEST" is projected to incubate the BI.O.K. biological indicators (supplied by
Propper). TECNO-GAZ will not be held responsible for the results obtained with other indicators.
6.2 Working for gas at 37°C
2. Stick rigorously to the technical specifications of the biological indicator which is used.
