The Primary Heat Source
Employ a water heater of sufficient size and efficiency to supply hot water to the footbath basin,
while still maintaining other hot water needs. Study the chart at the top of the page to determine
the amount of hot water your installation will require. Typically, you can expect a 70/30 mix of hot
and cold water to fill the basin.
If the footbath basin water capacity is over 90 gallons (341 L), consider installing a dedicated water
heater for the unit and a second water heater for all other hot water needs.
Auxiliary Heat Sources
NOTE: A 4 kW heater, included with the pump kit, helps maintain the water temperature at a comfortable
level. This heater is not intended to replace the primary water heater.
If you design a large room, you should employ an auxiliary heat source, such as a steam generator,
to support the heater and maintain the ambient temperature of the room.
