2045381 Adjustable lateral fence CE120P/GR120P
This accessory enables the user to work with a large
lateral guide and to obtain chamfered edges of varying
degrees (Fig. 28 and 29).
5. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Planer GR120P comes equipped with:
• Reversible HM blades
• Cutting regulator with automatic locking, for planer
width of up to 4 mm
• Regulable lateral shoe for rebate depth of up to 25 mm
• Sliding horizontal guide for planing overlaps of 0-1 mm
• Lateral fence for work to be done on the edge of
the workpiece
• Collector outlet can be placed on the right or left side
• Safety switch (A) (Fig. 1) with inverted locking (B) (Fig.
1) for right-handed or left-handed users that prevents
the machine from starting accidentally
6
• Lateral blade guard
• Concealable rest shoe, to prevent the blade from co-
ming into contact with the workpiece once the planer
is switched off
• Blade-holder equipped with mechanical brake system.
Smooth start-up system and constant speed control
with feedback to counteract any speed reduction when
using the planer under the workload.
Electronic clutch to protect the planer from overloading
during the planing job.
: 2.5 m/s

To restart the machine, release pressure on switch (A)
h
2
(Fig.1). Once the switch has been released, apply pressure
to it once again.
6. CUTTING CONTROL
Cutting depth
Turning knob (C) (Fig. 2) clockwise regulates cutting. The
knob's locking screws enable planing width adjustment
to be carried out in 0.2 mm steps. Maximum cutting
depth is 4 mm.
Planing of rebates and overlaps
Rebate depth is set by means of the parallel shoe (D)
(Fig. 2). The shoe is placed at the desired height by si-
multaneously pressing and turning the knob (E). When
the knob is released the shoe remains fixed in the desired
position. Maximum rebate depth is 25 mm.
The Planer GR120P enables one to plane overlaps (Fig.
3), thanks to its sliding guide (F) (Fig. 3). This permits
cutting from 0-1 mm by means of the regulation of the
screw (G) (Fig. 3, 4). Always remember to have a good
support for the planer base.
Lateral fence
The lateral fence (H) (Fig. 2) enables you to position
the planer for work to be done on the side of the wor-
kpiece. To attach it, push lever (I) (Fig. 2) and slide the
square by means of the hole (J) (Fig. 4) to the desired
measurement. When the lever (I) is released, the parallel
square will remain locked in this position. If needed be,
a more precise regulation can be obtained using the
bracket (K) (Fig. 2).
Chamfering the edges
To chamfer the edges of a workpiece quickly and easily,
place the front groove of the centre of the planer shoe
onto the workpiece edge and guide the planer forward
evenly, maintaining an angle of 45º (Fig. 4).
When the maximum factory-adjusted
load weight is reached, the planer will
automatically disconnect and the motor
will stop.
