Apart from being beneficial for the machine,
it will also save energy.
• If you do switch the appliance on and off
continuously then the compressor may re-
main inactive for a few minutes.
This is quite normal for this appliance.
EMPTYING THE DRAINAGE TANK
When the water reaches the tank's maximum
level the tank full indicator (11) [
ht up and the dehumidifier will switch itself
off automatically.
Remove the tank, figure 1, empty the contents
and put it back into position. The dehumidi-
fier will start again automatically.
Carry the tank by its handle and pour away
the contents.
Hold both sides of the tank while emptying it.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE

In those places where continuous drainage
is required, it will be necessary to fit a drain
pipe. To this, follow the steps given below:
- Take out the water tank (5).
- Open the continuous drain outlet (6) by
turning the stopper clockwise. Remove the
rubber bung.
- Insert a flexible PVC drainage tube (inside
diameter: 13mm / approx. 100cm long) and
attach it securely to the drain outlet by means
of a hose clamp.
- Put the water tank back in
- When using the continuous drainage sys-
tem make sure that the outlet pipe is not
bent. This pipe must always be kept lower
than the drain outlet, figure 4.
If you decide to stop using the continuous
drainage system in favour of the internal tank
system then be sure to replace the rubber
bung and the lid of the perfume container.
PERFUME CONTAINER
The perfume container (8) is located on the
air outlet grille. Open the lid and pour in a
few drop of perfume. Do not pour perfume
into the water tank.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Before proceeding to clean the appliance,
make sure that it is switched off and unplu-
gged.
Empty the water out of the tank. Clean the
dehumidifier with a damp cloth. Do not
let water or any other liquid get inside the
appliance and never use abrasive cleaning
products.
Always keep the air inlets (3) and outlets
(2) clean. Do not use sharp objects to clean
them.
To remove the filter (4) take the water tank (5)
out and then remove the filter as shown in
figure 3.

Note the position of the guide arrow marked
on the filter when refitting it.
Should it be very dirty then you can wash it
under the tap but without the use of harsh
detergents, then leave it until it is completely
dry before replacing it.
