BEFORE USE:
1. Before use make sure the mains voltage matches
the design voltage of the kettle. Otherwise the kettle
use is prohibited in order to avoid accidents.
2. Kettle shall be placed on a level fl at surface to avoid
its tip-over and accidents. When the kettle is on, its
plug shall be securely placed in the socket.
3. Before turning on your device, select the desired lid:
there is boiling water lid (Fig.2) and the tea lid (Fig.3)
– DEK-317-F only.
4. The kettle has automatic cut-off device to protect it
from overheating, including in case of its turning on
without water, to avoid damaging it.
5. If the kettle is accidentally turned on without water,
fi rst unplug it and pour some water in to reduce the
temperature of the base to allow restarting the auto-
matic cut-off device. The kettle shall be emptied off
the poured water, and then used as desired.
6. Six signaling LEDs on the base indicate the desired
temperature (70°C, 80°C, 90°C, and 100°C), and
also indicate "Keep warm" mode on and the current
state of the kettle (on/off).
7. Tea brewing device shall be disassemble as shown
in Fig.4: (Open – to open; Lock – to close it).
KETTLE USE:
1. To boil water press lead opening button (Fig.5); the
lead opens automatically, and then it can be re-
moved. When making tea it is necessary to remove
(fi g.1)
the lead (Fig.6) and put the tea in the tea brewing
pot, adding water to a level in the range between
the Min and TeaMax levels, indicated on the kettle
scale.
2. After having poured the water, place the lead back
on kettle so to fi x it reliably, and raise the tea pot
(Fig.7) with the lead in place. Put the kettle on the
base; plug it in, and the signaling device beeps twice
with all the indicators on the panel turning on for one
second showing that the kettle is in standby mode
and is ready for operation.
3. After having selected the required temperature,
appropriate indicator on the kettle panel lights up.
Water heating starts after On/Off button is pressed.
At the same time the indicator will fl ash, signaling
device will beep twice and the kettle will turn on the
selected mode. After reaching the set temperature
the signal beeps.
4. To use the keep warm mode press the required wa-
ter heating button: 70°C, 80°C, or 90°C. Then press
the Keep warm and On/Off buttons. To cancel this
mode, press the On/Off button. If you have previ-
ously selected the keep warm mode while having
selected the 100°C temperature mode, this keep
warm function automatically turns off. Keep warm
mode is active for 30 minutes.
5. Other Considerations.
If keep warm function is not set, the kettle must be tak-
en off the base to turn it into the standby mode. After
that its program restarts.
If keep warm function is selected and the kettle is taken
off the base, but not placed back in a minute, the sign-
aling device will beep and the program will turn the ket-
tle into the standby mode, and then restart. And if the
kettle will be placed on the base within one minute, it
will continue to work in the selected mode.
In standby mode all LEDs are off and the heating pro-
cess is terminated. Besides, if the kettle is not on the
base in standby mode, all the LEDs and buttons are off.
MALFUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION:
