Application

The SDN-170A Disk Mower was manufactured exclusively for mowing plants used for making pre-
dried hay or silage, such as alfalfa, oatmeal, ryegrass, coast-cross, clover, rhodes, in fact, any plants
with thin stalks which grow near the ground, especially herbs.

Actuation

The SDN-170A is actuated by the power take-off connected to category I or II agricultural tractors, with
a minimum power of 35 HP at 540 RPM.

Coupling to the tractor

It must be coupled using the three point hydraulic lifting system of the tractor, in the following manner:
- Place the tractor so that the power take-off and the SDN-170A actuation axle of the are aligned;
- Adjust the height of the tractor hydraulic arms so that they are the same height as the SDN-170
connecting pins;
- First connect the left arm of the hydraulic system and next the right arm, and finally the upper arm (3rd
point), latching them using the cotter pins.

After coupling the machine, lift the machine, remove the cotter pin A and lift the support foot B, placing it
in a resting position.

IMPORTANT:

Adjust the tractor stabilizers, so that they prevent sideway movements of the machine after coupling,
thereby avoiding it from touching the tractor tire while operating.
