Your SDN-170A requires minimal maintenance in order to remain in good working order and achieve
maximum durability. Therefore, it is essential to perform the following preventive maintenance
procedures.
Disconnect the power take-off and remove the key from the tractor ignition,
before performing adjustments, lubrication, or maintenance on the machine.
Wait until all the parts are motionless before touching any part of the machine.
Keep the maintenance area clean. Wet or oily floors are slippery and can be
dangerous. Always place the machine in a flat location. Always wear safety
glasses when hammering any part of the machine. Always use the same
specifications of screws and nuts as the original when replacing them.
Before starting a hydraulic repair job, release the pressure from the system.
Replace all the shielding before turning the machine on again.
Safety devices
The SDN-170A is equipped with a safety device for protecting the cutting bar if it hits any obstacle
during its operation. If this occurs, the cutting bar will automatically articulate backwards, thereby
avoiding possible damage to the equipment.
In this case, move the tractor in reverse, then the safety device will be activated again.
So to assure perfect protection, it is necessary to keep the necessary compression on the spring in the
device.
