Function description

If the differential set here between the cylinder temperature and heating return is exceeded and all conditions for
switching on have been met, the cylinder is integrated in the heating return for central heating backup via the 3-way
valve.
If the differential between the cylinder temperature and the heating return falls below the value set here, the
cylinder is bypassed via the 3-way valve for central heating backup.
The temperature set here is the maximum temperature permitted in the heating return when achieved via central
heating backup.
The elapsed time set here determines how long it takes the 3-way valve or the 3-way mixer to switch from "Cylinder
fully integrated in heating return" to "Bypass for the cylinder", or vice versa.
Function description

This function allows you to set the area installed in collector array 1. The solar yield is only displayed if an area
2
> 0 m
is set.
Use of flat-plate collectors in collector array 1
2
This function allows you to set the area installed in collector array 2. The solar yield is displayed if an area > 0 m
is set.
Use of flat-plate collectors in collector array 2
Climate zone of the installation location according to the map ( Fig. 42, page 188).
▶ Search for the location of the system on the climate zones map and set the climate zone number.
DHW reheating via the heat appliance irrespective of the minimum DHW temperature
The control system determines whether solar yield is available and whether the stored amount of heat is sufficient
to supply DHW. The control system then reduces the set DHW temperature to be produced by the heat appliance in
accordance with these two values. If there is sufficient solar yield, there is therefore no need to reheat the DHW
with the heat appliance. If the temperature set here is not reached, the DHW is reheated by the heat appliance.
Solar influence switched off.
Influence of solar on the set room temperature: at a high value, the flow temperature of the heating curve is reduced
at a correspondingly greater rate in order to enable greater passive solar energy input through the building's
windows. At the same time this reduces a temperature overshoot in the building and increases the comfort level.
• Increase heating circuit solar influence ( – 5 K = max. influence) if the heating circuit heats rooms that have
large south-facing windows.
• Do not increase heating circuit solar influence if the heating circuit heats rooms that have small areas of north-
facing windows.
Resets the solar yield to zero.
Resets the solar optimisation calibration and restarts it. The settings for Solar yield/optimisation remain
unchanged.
Regulates to a constant temperature differential between collector and cylinder (Match-Flow).
Match-Flow (only in combination with speed modulation) is used to quickly heat the top part of the cylinder to
45 °C, for example, in order to prevent the potable water being reheated by the heat source.
In order to obtain accurate readings from the heat meter, the glycol content of the heat transfer medium must be
specified (only with Heat meter (L)).
The solar yield displayed is a calculated estimate of the
yield. If the heat meter function (L) is active, measured
values are displayed.
