7. Measure, Cut and Install Top Track
CAUTION: Risk of injury. Wear safety glasses while cutting materials.
NOTE: The reversible top track may be installed with the rounded side out for a contemporary look, or with the
flat side out for a more traditional look. For the purposes of these instructions, the top track will be installed with
the rounded side out.
- Carefully measure the wall to wall opening at the top of installed wall jambs.
NOTE: If a steel measuring tape is used, be sure to add the width of the measuring tape case to the measurement.
- Cut the top track 1/32" (1mm) less than distance measured. For best results, use a 32 tooth hacksaw blade and a
miter box.
- File rough edges at cut end of top track and install over ends of both wall jambs.
