flange bolts.

1. Remove existing bolts: Remove the (2) lower flange bolts from end of frame rail, flange bolts to be reused for hitch installation. Both sides. See Figure 2.
2. Clean Threads: Run the M12 bolts into existing weldnuts in side of the frame rail to remove any debris. Soapy water or small wire brush can be used as needed. Remove bolts.
3. Hitch installation: Raise hitch into position as shown Figure 1. Rotate hitch as needed to maneuver between fascia and end of frame rail.
4. Install fasteners: Install M12 bolt and conical washer (Item 1 & 2) loosely into the weldnuts on the outside of frame rail. Both sides.
5. Install remaining fastener: Install M12 bolt and conical washer (Item 1 & 2) loosely into the existing weldnuts on the side of the frame rail. Both sides.
6. Tighten all M10 fasteners with torque wrench to 48 Lb.-Ft. (65 N*M) and all M12 CL 10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 86 Lb.-Ft. (116 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or
ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
