Thread the hex screw with the components outlined in
steps 1-4, through the hole in the bottom corner of the
mower frame, and secure with a flange lock nut (ref. part
#3). See Figure 1-2.
NOTE: Use the small hole on the mower frame at the front
of the bracket assembly to secure the end of the torsion
spring in place while mounting the bracket assembly set up
in steps 1-5.
NOTE: Complete steps 1-5 on each side of the mower
before continuing to step 6.

Slide the long portion of the roller rod (ref. part #2) part
way through the bottom hole of the roller bracket, leaving
enough space to slide the three roller pins (ref. part #5)
onto the roller rod between the two brackets. See Figure
1-2.
NOTE: The roller rod may be inserted from either side.

Carefully slide the roller rod completely through to the
opposite side bracket, making sure to slide the small hook
at the end of the rod into the hole above. See Figure 1-2.
8.
Secure the hex lock nut (ref. part #4) onto the threaded end
of the roller rod. See Figure 1-2.

Operate your lawn mower as instructed in your lawn
mower operator's manual. The striper spring action will
naturally make stripes more bold by pressing down fresh
cut grass. See Figure 1-3.
