2.0 Tag Attachment Methods
Do not fix tags over equipment markings
or labels.
Do not fix tags to equipment in a location
that may interfere with the equipment's
ability to function properly or with the us-
er's ability to properly inspect equipment.
Do not use tag attachment methods other
than those listed in instructions and/or
approved by Honeywell Industrial Safety.
• Always ensure tag is properly attached and
easily accessed with the tag reading device to
ensure reliable reads.
• Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions
provided with the equipment to be tagged to
ensure all guidelines and restrictions are fol-
lowed with regard to attachment of a tag.
2.1 General Purpose Off-Metal RFID Tag
Remove backing from tag and adhere to a
clean, dry, smooth, non-metal surface. Surface
may be flat or curved; however, for curved
surfaces, ensure RFID antenna is not bent.
Once tag is adhered to surface, do not remove
or attempt to relocate tag as removal will
likely damage the RFID antenna and render
the tag unusable.
