CLEANING OR REPLACING THE PRE-FILTER MEDIA INSERT
We suggest wearing protective gloves when handling the cartridges.
Clean the Media Insert regularly between replacements to extend the life of the cartridge.
To clean:
1. Open the housing by turning the top counterclockwise and remove the media by
grabbing the base of the housing with both hands and pushing the end cap of the media
forward.

2. Temporarily reconnect the Inlet Assembly to the filter base. Wash the reusable housing
and rinse off the media insert with water and dry. When washing the media mild
rubbing is acceptable. Do not scrub the exterior of the media too hard as it can be
damaged permanently. DO NOT USE SOAP.
3. After cleaning, insert the media with the punt up.
