VI. BEFORE FIRST USE
Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity and open it. If the packaging is damaged, please
contact your transport company and distributor within 3 days, and document the damages as detailed as
possible. Do not turn the package upside down! When transporting the package, please ensure that it is kept
horizontal and stable. Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic tapes and Styrofoam), so that in
case of a problem, the device can be sent back to the service centre in accurate condition!
VII. HOW TO USE
a.
Before the first use:
Make sure that the cutting tool is properly installed in the device.
b.
Switching on / off
Switching on – press the switch (5)
Switching off – release the switch (5)
c.
Installing the knife
Loosen the screws in the blade gripper (2) while using the provided key. Then slide the knife blade
(holding the longer blade edge downwards) into the gap and tighten the screws.
Attention! Before fitting the blade, always disconnect the device from the power supply!
d.
Removing the knife
To remove the knife from the device, loosen the screws using the provided key, then pull out the blade.
Attention! Disconnect the device from the power supply before removing the blade and make sure
that the blade has cooled down! There is a risk of burns!
e.
Cutting with the device
Before cutting, set the temperature using the temperature adjustment knob (3). Check proper
functioning of the device prior to commencement of work. To do this, cut a discarded piece of material.
If fumes are generated during the operation it indicates that the pre-set temperature is too high or the
cutting speed is too low. Readjust the blade temperature and/or the cutting speed. The knife will heat
up to the pre-set temperature in a matter of seconds. To ensure the maximum service life of the knife
always use it within the given parameters and at proper temperature.
Always follow the guidelines on work cycles when working with the device, i.e. 12 seconds of
continuous operation and 48 seconds of pause per each minute.
ATTENTION! When cutting different types of plastic materials, always review manufacturer's
specifications concerning the material's softening, melting or degradation temperature!

VIII. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
1.
Inspecting the tool
Clean the blade on a regularly basis and when accessories are burnt replace them with new accessories,
since using contaminated and/or burnt blades will cause malfunction of the device.
2.
Inspecting the mounting screws
Inspect regularly all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should any of the
screws be loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so could result in serious hazard.
3.
Cleaning the device
Before cleaning, the device must be disconnected from the power supply source. To keep the device
clean, the device must be cleaned using a soft cloth damped in water with soap. Never use brushes
or other cleaning tools that may scratch/damage the device. Remember to prevent water from
penetrating inside the device through vents in the housing of the device. The contaminated blade must
be cleaned when it has cooled down, using the brush which is provided with the device.
IX. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
During the transport, the machine should be protected from shaking and falling. Store the machine in a well
ventilated place with dry air and without corrosive gases.
X. CHECK REGULARLY THE DEVICE
Check regularly the machine for signs of damage. If the machine is damaged, please stop using it immediately
and contact your customer service to solve the problem.
What to do in case of a problem?
Please contact your customer service and prepare following information:
Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be found on the technical plate on the machine).
If relevant, take a picture of the damaged, broken or defective part.
It will be easier for your customer service clerk to determine the source of the problem if you give a
detailed and precise description of the matter. Avoid formulations like "the device doesn't ́ t heat up",
which may mean that it doesn't ́ t heat enough or even not at all. The more detailed your information,
the better customer service will be able to solve your problem rapidly and efficiently!
CAUTION: Never open the machine without the authorization of your customer service. This can lead
to a loss of warranty!
