OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: This electric heating pad has a
safety device that controls the temperature by
switching the appliance on and off at regular
intervals.
To guarantee user safety, the temperature of
the heating pad is the maximum permitted by
current IEC standards
The appliance provides gentle, harmless heat.
Operating mode: The UFESA heating pad has
4 settings:
0 Off
1 minimum temperature
2 intermediate temperature
3 maximum temperature
Make sure that the control is set to 0 before plu-
gging it in and switching on.
For rapid heating turn the control to position 3,
after a few minutes the heating pad will have
reached a pleasant temperature.
Place it on the part of the body you wish to
heat and select the desired temperature. Do
not use it to warm animals.
For the best heating results, keep the heating
pad covered so that none of the heat is lost
while the appliance switches on and off.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS AND
PRECAUTIONS
THE REMOVABLE COVER
The heating pad has a removable cover that
can be hand washed in warm water (40°) after
being removed from the heating pad. It is best
to wash the cover in a neutral detergent.
HAND WASH (40°)
IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances can the
inside part of the appliance be washed or dry
cleaned.
DO NOT USE THE ELECTRIC HEATING PAD IF
IT IS STILL DAMP.
CARE & PERIODIC CHECKS
When the appliance is not being used, store it
in a dry place and avoid placing heavy objects
on top of it.
Avoid creasing the appliance. Periodically ins-
pect the appliance, including the mains cable,
to check for signs of wear or damage.
Do NOT place heavy objects on top
of the heating pad when stored, as
this may damage the electric wires.
Should the appliance become worn or mal-
function, take it to any authorised UFESA
Technical Service Centre.

ADVICE ON DISPOSAL:

Our goods come in optimised pac-
kaging. This basically consists in using
non-contaminating materials which
should be handed over to the local waste dis-
posal service as secondary raw materials.
This product complies with EU
Directive 2002/96/CE. The crossed
wheelie bin symbol shown on the
appliance indicates that when it co-
mes to dispose of the product it must
not be included in with household refuse. It
must be taken to a special refuse collection
point for electric and electronic appliances
or returned to the distributor when purcha-
sing a similar appliance. Under current refuse
disposal regulations, users who fail to take dis-
carded appliances to special refuse collection
points may be penalised. Correct disposal of
discarded appliances means that they can be
recycled and processed ecologically, helping
the environment and allowing materials used in
the product to be reused. For more information
on available waste disposal schemes contact
your local refuse service or the shop where the
product was purchased. Manufacturers and
importers are responsible for ecological re-
cycling, processing and disposal of products,
whether directly or via a public system.
Your local town council can provide you with
information about how to dispose of obsolete
appliances.
