1. APPLICATION

The welding NIPPON GASES lances, CS-300, are connected to the handle NIPPON GASES CS-300
PT
(Cod. 2302005) for use in welding or concentrated heating with oxygen and acetylene. (see table
of thicknesses and pressures).

2. CONNECTING TO CS-300 SHANK

2.1. Remove screw & tap from CS-300 shank.
2.2. Insert the mixer of attachment on the frontal tube of the shank, set by pushing from head
of attachment if necessary: in such a way that the seat of oxygen valve for cutting will be
set in valve body of shank.
2.3. Screw & tighten with a wrench, gas tightness is metal/metal.
2.4. Screw & tighten nut of attachment on the shank till closing (tightness is made with an O-
ring & by metal/metal contact on the oxygen circuit).

3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before connecting the torch & during the whole operation, take care to follow these
instructions. In case of doubt, get in touch with NIPPON GASES.
3.1.
Only use genuine & appropriate accessories from NIPPON GASES (cutting nozzles &
spare parts).
3.2.
NEVER USE OIL OR GREASE with any component of the equipment.
OXYGEN WITH OIL AND GREASE: DANGER OF EXPLOSION.
3.3.
Do not set pressures that are really different from those recommended.
WRONG PRESSURES = DIFFICULT FLAME CONTROL & RISK OF GAS BACKFLOWING.
3.4. SET ASIDE:

ESCAPES & OBSTRUCTIONS = DANGER OF GAS ACCUMULATION &/OR GAS BACKFLOWING.
3.5.
We recommend to always use non return valves
¡ PREFERENT WITH DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE TORCH !
