1power standby/on button &
indicator
When the main power switch on the side
panel is ON:
Press this button to turn the power on, and
the whole system connected by remote
control connection cables is turned on.
Press it again to turn the system off (power
standby mode).
Notes:
O
This indicator lights up in power standby
mode and goes out when this unit is
turned on.
O
The system cannot be turned on when
the main power switch on the side panel
is OFF.
2remote sensor
This sensor receives the signal from the
remote control transmitter.
3Surround off/on button &
surround mode button
When the surround mode is turned on by
pressing the off/on button, the desired
surround mode can be selected by pressing
this button.
4Tone (bass/treble) controls
These two tone controls – bass and treble –
can be used to obtain a "flat" frequency
response or a tone which suits your
individual listening preference. The bass
control adjusts low frequencies and the
treble control adjusts the high frequencies.

5center mode button
Set to the center mode, when you select

Stereo mode.
6master volume control
This control is used for adjusting the signal
output level to the speakers.

8balance control
This control is used for adjusting the
balance of the volume level between the
left and right channels.
9test tone button
With this button, you can listen to a test
tone from the front, rear and center
speakers in ä Pro Logic or
∂ 3 STEREO mode.

0rear/center/delay time button &
level (up/down) control
Each time you press the rear/center/delay
time button, the selected mode will be
displayed.
Adjust the desired rear level, center level,
delay time by using the rear/center /delay
time button and level (up/down) control.
qinput selector
Rotate this selector to select the desired
input (tuner, MD/tape, LD/CD, aux, VCR)
source.
wphones jack
Connect the headphone plug to this jack,
and sound to the speakers will be cut off.
Note:
Decrease the volume level to minimum
(∞ position) before connecting head-
phones.
