6. MORETTI SpA maintains and provides to the competent authorities, for at least ten years
from the date of manufacture of the last production lot, the technical documentation
proving conformity with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.
Note:
The complete product codes, the manufacturer's single registration number (SRN), the
basic UDI-DI code and any references to standards used are indicated in the EU Declaration
of Conformity that MORETTI SPA issues and provides through its own channels.
4.1 Applicable regulations and directives
The safety tests required by standard UNI EN 12182 have been performed and passed.
Resistance to ignition: The materials used for the cover and padding have been tested using the
methods specified in EN1021-1/2.
5. GENERAL WARNINGS
WARNING!
Take extreme care in the presence of moving parts that could trap limbs and cause
injury.
• Please consult this manual carefully for correct use of the device
• Always consult your doctor or therapist for correct use of the device
• Keep the packaged product away from sources of heat, as the packaging is cardboard
• The lifetime of the device depends on wear and tear of non-repairable and/or non-replaceable
parts
• Always take care when children are present
• Never lift the commode chair by gripping the removable parts (armrests, backrest, etc.),
which could accidentally detach from it during lifting
• The user and/or patient must report any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the
device to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the
user and/or patient is established
5.1 Warnings on use
• Do not exceed the maximum permitted weight under any circumstances
• Lock the wheels of the chair completely whenever the patient is being transferred or when
in an elevator
• Before transferring the patient onto/off the commode chair, ensure that the chair is placed
on a flat and stable surface and with the wheels locked
• Before inclining the chair forwards or backwards, ensure that the front wheels are locked,
to avoid the risk of the chair tipping over
• Avoid leaning over the back of the chair to prevent possible tipping over
• If you need to pick up an object behind the chair, do not lean further than the length of your
arm, without changing your position on the chair
• Take care to ensure that clothing does not get caught in the wheels of the commode chair
• Take extreme care to avoid crushing of fingers during assembly and/or adjustment of the
footplates, backrest and leg supports during use of the chair
• Keep the chair away from direct sources of heat
• Ensure that the tray has not been shifted or removed;
• Do not rest your weight on the footplates to get onto or off the chair;
• Do not lean out from the commode chair to pick up objects on furniture or other surfaces;
• Avoid sitting on the edge of the commode chair, as it could tip over.
