Correctly identify the footplate to be assembled on the structure. The footrests must

9. BEFORE EVERY USE

• Always check for wear and tear of moving mechanical parts, in order to ensure that the
wheelchair can be used in total safety for both people and property.
• Check that the device has been assembled correctly and particularly that the wheels and
all components and accessories* (optional) have been inserted properly.
• Check correct functioning of the brake on the wheels.

10. HOW TO USE

Note: Consult the general warnings and user instructions in this manual
WARNING!
• Getting into and out of a commode chair on your own can be potentially risky:
do so only if you are physically able and with care.
• Do not lean on removable parts, but rather on the seat frame. DO NOT SHIFT
YOUR WEIGHT ONTO THE FOOTPLATE WHEN GETTING INTO OR OUT OF THE
COMMODE CHAIR, AS IT COULD TIP OVER!!!

10.1 Getting into the commode chair

1. Get as close as possible to the chair, in a manner that it is positioned alongside you
2. Lock the brakes on the front wheels. Getting into the commode chair is easier if the arm-
rest is removed on the side where this operation is being performed.
3. Rest your weight on the frame structure using your arms and slowly lower yourself into the
chair

10.2 Getting out of the commode chair

1. Get as close as possible to the side of another seat
2. Lock the brakes on the front wheels. Getting out of the commode chair is easier if the
armrest is removed on the side where this operation is being performed.
3. Rest your arms on the frame of the seat into which you are moving and raise yourself
slowly towards it
