SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
The bleeding of brake systems must be carried out by trained persons only.
•
Do not carry out any repairs on brake systems if you are unsure about how to use the tools or
about the procedure of bleeding brake systems.
•
A brake system bled incorrectly can lead to failure of the brake and to accidents and serious
injuries.
•
Always follow the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
•
These instructions serve as a guideline only and are in no way a substitute for a workshop
manual.
Always refer to vehicle-specific service literature which will contain exact details of the bleeding
procedure.
APPLICATION
Select the appropriate wrench size (7-12 mm). Connect the hose
to the hose nipple on the brake bleeding wrench. Make sure the
arrow on the non-return valve indicates the flow direction of the
brake fluid and points in the direction of the collecting vessel.
Place the other end of the hose in a collecting vessel.
Sequence: Bleed the brake system, unless otherwise specified by
the manufacturer, in the following order;
rear right, rear left, front right, front left.
Bleeding: Insert the brake bleeding wrench onto the bleeder valve
and open the valve.
Move the brake pedal up and down until the brake fluid flows
through the hose clearly and bubble-free.
Hold the brake pedal down and close the bleeder valve.
Now, taking into account the above sequence, the next wheel
brake cylinder or brake calliper can be bled.
Please note: During the entire bleeding procedure, there must
always be enough brake fluid left in the brake fluid reservoir.
