If the message
the oil in the vacuum pump and the filter
and drier cartridge need to be replaced . The
maintenance meter must then be reset (see
section 14 .3 "Resetting the maintenance
meter") .
Do not carry out any work that is not ex-
pressly specified in that section.

Replacement of vacuum pump oil

To ensure optimum functioning of the pump,
the oil in the vacuum pump must be re-
placed .
Oil type:
Ester lubricating oil, type AV68, density in
line with ISO 68 .

Disconnect ACS 400/450 from lighting
mains . Detach power plug .
2.
Unscrew screws on front cover (4x) and
remove the cover .

Warning - risk of burns!
The hot surface of the vacuum pump can result
in severe burns to the hands.

Allow the vacuum pump to cool down be-
fore commencing any maintenance work .

Place a container below the bottom ope-
ning of the trolley . Open the drain plug (Fig .
9; item 3) on the vacuum pump and allow
the oil to drain completely .
4.
Screw the drain plug down again and open
the screw plug (Fig . 9, item 1) .
5.
Add new oil up to halfway up the sight glass
(Fig . 9; item 2), (approx . 400 g) .
6.
Replace screw plug with sealing ring .
