safety & care notes
IMPORTANT! KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE:
READ CAREFULLY
WARNINGS:
Your Child's safety is your responsibility
The car safety seat offers maximum protection and is only safe when used in accordance with the
instructions.
Your child's safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions.
If you are in any doubt about installation and proper use of your seat, please contact your nearest
Mothercare store.
Before use check that the child restraint is compatible for use in your car.
DO NOT place rear-facing child seat on front seat with airbag. Death or serious injury can occur.
Never place your child in the seat without securing them with the harness.
Do not place the car safety seat on high surfaces, such as tables, worktops, beds, etc., due to the risk of
falling.
Never leave your child unattended in the seat, either in or out of the car.
No alterations may be made to the child restraint, as this could effect the overall safety of the seat.
Always check that folding seats in the vehicle are locked securely before installing the child restraint.
Do not use any load-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and marked on
the restraint system.
Rigid items and plastic parts of the child restraint must be positioned and installed so that they do not,
under normal everyday use of the vehicle, become trapped by a moveable seat or in a door of the vehicle.
Ensure that all luggage/objects, on the parcel shelf for instance, likely to cause injury in the event of an
accident are properly secured.
The seat should always be secured with a seat belt, even when not in use.
If you travel with passengers using both the front and rear seats, the lighter occupants should be in the
rear seats and the heavier occupants in the front of the vehicle. When a child is in the front seat, the lighter
passenger should be behind the child Mothercare, whilst taking into account child car seat contact with
vehicle seats throughout the development of new products, cannot accept responsibility for damage
occurring to vehicle seats or seat belts.
After an accident your car safety seat should be replaced. Although it may appear undamaged,
if you were to have another accident it may not protect your child as well as it should.
We strongly advise that child car seats are not bought or sold second-hand, as you can never be sure if
the seat has been involved in an accident or otherwise damaged.
It is advisable not to use car safety seats longer than 5 years after the date of purchase. Due to the ageing
process of the plastic for instance, the quality of the product may be unnoticeably deteriorated.
Your child car seat must only be used with travel systems recommended by Mothercare.
Always ensure the child restraint is securely attached before setting off.
