Installation and assembly
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
Please ensure that all plant sections worked on in the course of
the assembly have been safely isolated from supply and
sufficiently protected against accidental/unintended reclosing!
CAUTION
Inappropriate performance of installation or assembly works
Possibility of reduction of safety of persons/systems, function
disturbances/restrictions!
Make sure that installation and assembly are performed by
qualified personnel who also has expert knowledge in the field
of electromagnetic compatibility.
Please note the information provided in the technical data (e.g.
the environmental conditions).
Please note the valid safety and accident prevention
regulations.
Do not ever deactivate any safety-relevant equipment.
Insufficient ergonomics
Possibility of reduction of personal/plant safety, negative effects on
health and/or concentration, function disturbances/restrictions,
operating errors!
Make sure that the produvt is installed to ensure optimum
ergonomics. Operating elements must be easy to reach at all
times, and displays must be easy to read!
Make sure that the devices and the operating elements are
sufficiently protected against inadvertent operation or contact.
Inappropriate fastening
Possibility of reduction of personal/plant safety, function
disturbances!
Make sure that the place of installation and the method of
fastening the modules are selected according to their weight!
Please also note dynamic forces which may affect the product.
Heavy loads and sharp metal edges
Higher risk of injuries through lifting of excessive weights, bruises or
cutting!
When you plan and perform the work, please always note the
weight of the product (refer to the technical data in the
Operating Instructions for the product) and use appropriate
hoisting and transportation equipment, if necessary.
Wear appropriate working clothes and use suitable protective
equipment (e.g. protective helmet/shoes, protective gloves).

NOTICE
Mechanical loading of the product
Possibility of damage to product components!
Do not use the rectifier as load-bearing part.
Do not use the transformer housing as load-bearing
construction element of the welding gun.
Water leakage while connecting cooling water lines
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment, unexpected plant
reactions!
All affected components in the switch cabinet should be well
partitioned prior to all work! Non-compliance will result in the
extinction of any warranty claims.
Remove residual moisture carefully after work.
Leakage in the cooling fluid circuit
Possibility of damage to the electrical equipment, unexpected plant
reactions!
Install the water-cooled modules so that the units inside the
switch cabinet are sufficiently protected against leaking cooling
water.
Overheating or condensation due to insufficient cooling
Possibility of temporary interruption of the welding process, a
reduced useful life of the product, destruction of the device, damage
to the electrical equipment, unexpected plant reactions!
Make sure that the conditions for sufficient cooling set forth in
the technical data are met.
Make sure that no condensation forms on water-conducting
components. If that is not possible, a sufficient discharge and
protection against condensation must be provided.
Use air conditioning systems, if required.
Electrical connection
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
The electrical connection may only be made by a skilled
electrician who observes the valid safety regulations, the mains
voltage and the maximum current consumption of the plant
sections.
Use suitable, insulated tools for all electrical connection work.
Please note that the voltage inside the unit of the controlling
electronic system directly after switching off the mains supply
has not been reduced to a harmless level yet. Before working
on the primary connection of the welding transformer, the
inverter must be de-energized and its DC link must have been
discharged. When the inverter power supply has been switched
off, you should therefore wait for at least 5 minutes before
working on the primary circuit.
Use suitable measuring equipment and an appropriate
measuring method to ensure that the respective unit is de-
energized before carrying out any work on the unit.
