Bottom appearance panel removal – use 12mm socket to loose (3) plastic nuts and panel removal tool to remove (5) rivets from the bottom appearance panel and (1) rivet from

bottom fascia tab on passenger side. Remove the bottom appearance panel.
Tow hook removal – use 17mm socket to remove (2) bolts from tow hook on driver side, see Figure 2. Return to vehicle owner.

Lowering exhaust – use exhaust removal pliers to lower the exhaust down from rubber isolator on passenger side. Use a stand to keep muffler from getting damaged.

Hitch installation – raise the hitch into position and slide it over passenger side exhaust first. Loosely install M12 bolts ① and conical washers ② to the hitch, see Figure 1.

Tighten M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N*M).
Bottom appearance panel trimming – trim the bottom panel as shown in Figure 3.

Reinstall exhaust and bottom appearance panel removed in Step 1, 3.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been
damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and
requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
