Prepare the Cutout
● Always remember what kind of venting method you
desired, choosing the correct method to install. Refer
above part of Venting Method to know the detail.
Cutout for Rear Venting
1. Mark centerline of the range hood on the rear wall, which
should be matched with that of the cooktop.
2. Mark and cut out a through-hole on the wall for damper.
Refer to the dimensions outlined in Fig. 2.
3. Mark and cut out a through-hole minimum Diameter
13/8" (30mm) under the bottom of the cabinet for power
cord, refer to the dimensions outlined in Fig. 2.

Cutout for Top Venting
1. Mark centerline of the range hood on the bottom of
the cabinet, which should be matched with that of the
cooktop.
2. Mark and cut out a through-hole minimum Diameter
13/8" (30mm) under the bottom of the cabinet according to
the dimensions outlined in Fig. 3.

Requirements
Electrical Code, Part 1 and C22.2 No. 0-M91 (lastest
edition) and local codes and ordinances.
● Wire sizes and connections must confirm with the rating
of the appliance as specified on the model/serial/rating
plate. The model/serial/rating plate is located inside the
range hood. Wire sizes must confirm to the requirements
of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 (lastest
edition), or CSA Standards C22.1-94, Canadian Electrical
Code, Part 1 and C22.2 No. 0-M91 (lastest edition) and
local codes and ordinances.
● A 120-volt, 60 Hz., AC-only, 15-amp, fused electrical circuit
is required.
● If the house has aluminum wiring, follow the procedure
below:
− Connect the aluminum wiring using special connectors
and/or tools designed and UL listed for joining copper
to aluminum.
− Follow the electrical connector manufacturer's
recommended procedure. Aluminum/copper
connection must conform with local codes and industry

accepted wiring practices.

Prepare the Range Hood

Prepare the Hood
NOTE: On stainless steel hoods, carefully remove all foam
packaging and the plastic protective film from all exterior
surfaces of the hood and decorative flues, prior to final
installation. Following below instruction to prepare the hood
the Top Venting or Rear Venting.
Top Venting using rectangular damper
1. Use pliers to find the seam from the edge of the top
opening and press in by left and right.(Fig. 5)
