4 Inbetriebnahme
1) Bei dem Modell VF-101 den Netzstecker (1) in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken. Das
Gerät ist damit eingeschaltet. Um einen besse-
ren Bedienkomfort zu erhalten, ist es empfeh-
lenswert, das Gerät an eine Steckdose anzu-
schließen, die sich über einen Lichtschalter ein-
und ausschalten lässt.
Bei den Modellen VF-100 und VF-102 zuerst
den Netzstecker (1) in eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50 Hz) stecken, dann das Gerät mit dem Netz-
schalter (2) einschalten.
2) Bei eingeschaltetem Gerät flattert der Seidenstoff
– 1 Tuch bei den Modellen VF-100 und VF-102,
2 Tücher bei dem Modell VF-101 – in dem vom
Lüfter erzeugten Luftstrom und wird von den drei
Lampen angestrahlt.
Hinweis: Nach längerem Gebrauch kann der
Seidenstoff ausfransen. In diesem Fall
die losen Fasern an den Rändern vor-
sichtig mit einer scharfen Schere ab-
schneiden.
3) Zum Ausschalten des Modells VF-101 den Netz-
stecker (1) aus der Steckdose ziehen bzw. den
zugehörigen Lichtschalter der Steckdose auf
„Aus" stellen.
Die Modelle VF-100 und VF-102 mit dem Netz-
schalter (2) ausschalten.
5 Lampen und Seidenstoff
auswechseln
Ersatz-Leuchtmittel sowie ein neuer Seidenstoff in-
klusive Magnetplättchen für die Befestigung können
bei Bedarf über den Ersatzteildienst von MONA-
COR INTERNATIONAL in Bremen, Deutschland,
angefordert werden. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall
an Ihren MONACOR-Fachhändler.
3.2 Model VF-101
Mount the light effect unit to the ceiling via the sup-
plied three metal chains hanging on a fixing ring.
For fixing the chains at the housing three drill
holes are provided at the housing shell. Fix the three
chains with their hooks to the drill holes, fix a stable
mounting hook at the ceiling, and suspend the unit
on the ring at the mounting hook.
4 Setting into Operation
1) Model VF-101: connect the mains plug (1) to a
socket (230 V~/50 Hz). Thus, the unit is switched
on. For more convenient operation it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a socket which can
be switched on and off via a light switch.
Models VF-100 and VF-102: first connect the
mains plug (1) to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz), then
switch on the unit with the power switch (2).
2) With the unit switched on, the silk cloth – 1 cloth
in case of models VF-100 and VF-102, 2 cloths in
case of model VF-101 – flutters in the air stream
produced by the fan, illuminated by the three
lamps.
Note: After longer use the silk cloth may fray out.
In this case carefully cut off the loose fi-
bres at the edges with sharp scissors.
3) To switch off model VF-101, disconnect the mains
plug (1) of the socket or set the corresponding
light switch of the socket to "Off".
Switch off models VF-100 and VF-102 with the
mains switch (2).
5 Replacing Lamps and Silk Cloth
Replacement lamp inserts and a new silk cloth includ-
ing small magnet plates for fixing can be ordered via
the replacement service of MONACOR INTERNA-
TIONAL in Bremen, Germany, if required. In this case
please contact your MONACOR retailer.
5.1 Neue Lampen einsetzen
Auf keinen Fall dürfen Lampen mit einer höheren
Leistungsangabe als 20 W verwendet werden!
Wichtig!
Ziehen Sie vor dem Einsetzen einer neuen Lampe
unbedingt den Netzstecker! Da Halogenlampen im
Betrieb sehr heiß werden, lassen Sie die Lampe
nach Betrieb des Gerätes erst abkühlen (Abkühl-
zeit mindestens 5 Minuten), bevor Sie sie aus-
wechseln.
1) Bei den Modellen VF-100 und VF-102 die Schrau-
ben, mit denen das Schutzgitter am Gehäuse
befestigt ist (siehe Pfeile in Abb. 1 bzw. Abb. 3:
vier Schrauben bei Modell VF-100, zwei Schrau-
ben bei Modell VF-102), entfernen und das Gitter
herausnehmen.
Bei dem Modell VF-101 die Befestigungs-
schraube (siehe Pfeil in Abb. 2) für das Schutz-
gitter entfernen und das Gitter herausklappen.
2) Die alte Lampe vorsichtig aus ihrer Halterung zie-
hen.
3) Die neue Lampe möglichst nicht mit den Fingern
berühren. Hautfett und -schweiß mindern die
Leuchtkraft und brennen sich ein. Die Lampe mit
Hilfe eines sauberen, weichen Tuches in die Fas-
sung der Lampenhalterung stecken.
4) Das Schutzgitter wieder aufsetzen und fest ver-
schrauben.
5.1 Inserting new lamps
Never use lamps with a higher power indication than
20 W in any case!
Important!
Disconnect the mains plug prior to inserting a new
lamp in any case! As halogen lamps become very
hot during operation, let the lamp cool down after
operation of the unit (cooling down time at least
5 minutes) prior to replacing it.
1) Concerning models VF-100 and VF-102, remove
the screws by which the protective grille is fixed
to the housing (see arrows in fig. 1 or fig. 3: four
screws for model VF-100, two screws for model
VF-102) and take out the grille.
Concerning model VF-101, remove the fixing
screw (see arrow in fig. 2) for the protective grille
and fold out the grille.
2) Carefully pull the old lamp out of its support.
3) Do not touch the new lamp with your fingers, if
possible. Finger marks reduce the light intensity
and burn in. Put the lamp into the socket of the
lamp support by means of a clean, soft cloth.
4) Reposition the protective grille and fasten it with
screws.
