COMFORT KIT
22. There is a comfort kit comprising two shoulder strap
pads (A) and one crotch strap pad (B) (Fig. 22).
23. To assemble, thread the shoulder straps in the designated
slots (Fig. 23) making sure to leave the vertical seam
facing outward. The shoulder straps can be adjusted
according to your child's size.
24. Slide the crotch strap into the slot in the material as
seen in Fig. 24.
FOLDING AND UNFOLDING THE STROLLER
The stroller can be folded either without the seat or with
the seat (in either configuration: forward facing and rear-
ward facing).
To fold the stroller, put the handle in the closed position as
shown in the previous figure 17.
25. Fold the seat by sliding the grey button outwards whilst
lifting up on the lever located on the upper edge of the
backrest (Fig. 25) and pushing the backrest forwards
until it is fully compact (Fig. 25A).
26. Fold the stroller by sliding the grey button (on the
transversal tube) outwards whilst lifting up on the handle
(Fig. 26), compacting the frame until you hear a locking
click (Fig. 26A).
27. To remove the seat before folding the stroller, press
the grey buttons located near the seat's joints (Fig. 27).
28. To unfold the stroller, undo the lock hook (Fig. 1) and
turn the handle upwards until you hear a click. The
stroller is properly unfolded when green is visible in
the two openings shown in figure 28. Finish unfolding
the stroller by hooking the seat to the frame (if the seat
was removed) or simply opening the seat by pulling
up on the backrest.
LEG COVER
This element is only present and can only be used if you
purchased one of the compatible carrycots (BEST FRIEND
LIGHT / BEST FRIEND COMFORT)
The carrycot cover may be also used as leg cover for the
stroller configuration.
29. T o fit the leg cover, insert the leg rest in the leg cover
compartment (Fig. 29) and pass the upper fabric strap
over the handle, securing it with the designated but-
tons/holes (Fig. 29A - 29B).
USING THE CARRYCOT AND CHILD CAR SEAT ON THE
STROLLER FRAME
The following components can be fastened to the frame
of the CHICCO BEST FRIEND PRO stroller.
• Car Seats: BEST FRIEND, KAILY and KIROS i-Size Fast In
• Carrycots: BEST FRIEND LIGHT, BEST FRIEND COMFORT
FASTEN/RELEASE THE CARRYCOT
Remove the stroller seat from the frame.
30. Take hold of the carrycot by the handle (Fig. 30), connect
it to the lateral joints of the stroller with the feet facing
rearwards. You will hear a click when the carrycot locks
into place (Fig. 30A).
WARNING: Before using, make sure that the carrycot is
properly attached by pulling upwards (Fig. 30B).
31. The method used to disconnect the carrycot will change
depending on the model purchased.
• BEST FRIEND LIGHT carrycot: move the handle to the vertical
(transport) position, press the button located externally,
near the feet, and lift the carrycot off the frame (Fig. 31).
• BEST FRIEND COMFORT carrycot: move the handle to the
vertical (transport) position, press the button located
externally, behind the hood, and lift the carrycot off the
frame (Fig. 31A).
CONNECTING/REMOVING BEST FRIEND AND KAILY
CAR SEATS
32. To assemble the BEST FRIEND or KAILY CAR SEAT onto
the frame, hold the handle in the transport position (Fig.
32), positioning the car seat on the lateral joints of the
stroller with the foot zone facing rearward. Ease it on
the frame until you hear a click (Fig. 32A).
WARNING: Before use, ensure that the child car seat is
properly fastened by pulling up on it (Fig. 32B).
33. To remove the BEST FRIEND or KAILY car seats from
the stroller, move the handle to the vertical (transport)
position, press the button located behind the backrest
and lift the car seat off the frame (Fig. 33).
CONNECTING/REMOVING THE KIROS i-SIZE FAST IN
CAR SEAT
34. To assemble the KIROS i-SIZE FAST IN CAR SEAT onto the
frame, hold the handle in the transport position (Fig. 34),
positioning the child car seat on the lateral joints of the
stroller with the foot zone facing rearward. Ease it on
the frame until you hear a click (Fig. 34A).
WARNING: Before use, ensure that the child car seat is
properly fastened by pulling up on it (Fig. 34B).
35. To remove the KIROS I-SIZE FAST IN Car Seat, press
the buttons under the handle on both sides and pull
upwards (Fig. 35).
WARNING: The fastening and releasing operations for the
carrycot or child car seat can be carried out also with your
child inside; however, the child's weight may make these
operations more difficult.
Pay attention when carrying out the above mentioned
operations.
WARRANTY
The product is guaranteed against any conformity defect in
normal conditions of use as provid ed for by the instructions.
The warranty shall not therefore apply in the case of damage
caused by improper use, wear or accidental events. For the
duration of the warranty on conformity defects please refer
to the specific provisions of applicable national laws in the
country of pur chase, where appropriate.
