Do not wash items soiled with ash, sand, wax, lubricating grease
or paint in the dishwasher. These materials will cause damage to the
dishwasher.
Do not clean the dishwasher or near vicinity with a hose or a pres-
sure washer.
Be careful when sorting items with sharp pointed ends and posi-
tioning them in the dishwasher that you do not hurt yourself or cre-
ate a danger for others. Sharp knives, forks, etc. should be placed in
baskets with the pointed ends facing downwards.
Remove any coarse food deposits and empty out any containers
or utensils before loading them in the dishwasher.
Safety with children
Children should be supervised in the vicinity of the dishwasher.
Never allow children to play with the appliance. There is a danger
that children might shut themselves in the dishwasher.
Children under eight years of age must be kept away from the
dishwasher unless they are constantly supervised.
Children aged eight and older may only use the dishwasher
without supervision if they have been shown how to use it in a safe
manner. Children must be able to recognise and understand the po-
tential risks of improper use.
If the automatic door opening mechanism is active, keep young
children away from the area in which the door opens. There is a
danger of injury in the unlikely event of a fault with the opening
mechanism.
Keep children away from chemical agents. These contain irritant
and corrosive ingredients which can cause burning in the mouth, or
inhibit breathing. Keep children away from the dishwasher when the
door is open. There could still be residual chemical agent in the
wash cabinet. Seek medical advice immediately if a child has swal-
lowed or inhaled chemical agent.
