REPLACEMENT
The OXYMIZER Pendant device should be
replaced after approximately three weeks.
More frequent replacement may be
needed for cleanliness and sanitation,
depending on conditions of use.
TODAY'S DATE:
Contact your healthcare provider or the
manufacturer to report unexpected operation
or events.
SUPPLEMENTAL HUMIDIFICATION
Supplemental humidification is frequently
recommended for use with a nasal cannula.
This is typically accomplished by placing an
appropriate oxygen humidifier between the
oxygen source and the cannula. Since the
OXYMIZER cannula uses significantly less flow
of oxygen than standard nasal cannulas, the
need for supplemental humidification may be
reduced or eliminated. Follow your healthcare
professional's recommendations regarding
the use of humidifiers.
CLEANING
The dispo sable OXYMIZER oxygen-conserving
devices are clean and ready to use, and
are supplied in individual containers. The outer
surface may be cleaned as needed with soap
and water, but care must be taken not to
allow the membrane within the reservoir to
become wet.
