NOTE!
If no buttons are pressed for 15 minutes, the machine will automatically switch
to standby mode and will stop heating up.
7.1.
Making espresso
Turn the function switch to the left in order to start the espresso preparation process.
After a few seconds the espresso coffee will start pouring out of the spout.
As soon as the cup is full, turn the function switch back to the centre position (OFF) to
stop the flow.
NOTE!
By turning the function switch to the centre position (OFF), you will switch off
the two functions for making espresso and producing steam.
Press the On/Off switch (position 0) if you want to turn off the appliance
completely.
7.2.
Making cappuccino/caff è latte
In order to make a cappuccino, you need 1/3 espresso, 1/3 foamed milk and 1/3 steamed
milk. The proportions for a caffè latte are 1/4 espresso with 3/4 steamed milk. Start by
frothing the milk and then make the espresso.
Place a large enough container under the steam nozzle.
Turn the frother control to the right to the
of froth. Turn the frother control to the left to the
a small amount of froth.
Turn the function switch to the right in order to start the cappuccino or caffè latte
preparation process. After a few seconds froth/milk will start flowing out of the steam
nozzle.
NOTE!
Turn the frother control to the right to increase the amount of foam and to the
left to decrease the amount. This setting can be changed during the preparation
process.
As soon as there is enough froth/milk in the receptacle, turn the function switch back to
the centre position to stop the process.
Now turn the function switch to the left in order to start the espresso preparation
process. After a few seconds the espresso coffee will start pouring out of the spout into
the frothed milk.
As soon as the cup is full, turn the function switch back to the centre position (OFF) to
stop the flow.
7.3.
Frothing the milk
If you just want to froth milk, e.g. for other drinks like latte macchiato or chai latte, follow the
instructions above. In this case omit the espresso preparation step.
