Advanced functions
"MAIN DOOR" MODE
Unit Art. SK9001U can be used to manage the Main
door so that it can be opened by all keys for a site,
and not just as in Multi-building programming for
different buildings (e.g. Accessing a home, etc.).
To initialise a unit Art. SK9001U in "Main door"
f
mode, press and hold S2 for 5 seconds, until you
hear a beep.
» At this point, all badges belonging to the same
site as the first badge will open the Main door.
It is always possible to return to normal mode
(building or multi-building) by pressing and holding
S2 for 5 seconds again, until you hear two beeps
(indicating the unit has reverted to Normal operating
mode).
EVENT MANAGEMENT
The unit Art. SK9001U stores the most recent 1400
events in its memory (access authorised, access
denied, badge cancelled, etc.).
Events can be recalled using a transfer badge
f
(Art. Sk9553) supplied separately. After initialising
it with the SIMPLEKEY ADVANCED software,
position the transfer badge in front of the reader
until the red LED stops flashing. Once uploaded,
simply place it over the encoder connected to
the PC and follow the software instructions to
transfer the events in the database.
ALARM
The unit Art. SK9001U has an alarm function capable
of activating a signalling device. The alarm function is
activated upon the opening of a contact that triggers
the signalling device. The function is disabled for 1
minute every time a badge is used for access or the
exit button is pressed.
This allows instant activation of the alarm if the door
is forced or activation after 1 minute when the door
remains open after an authorised passage.
When the Alarm function is in use, jumper JP1 for
the unit must be removed.
N.B.: the alarm inputs and outputs for the unit do not
need to be connected if this function is not used.
LIFT MODE
The unit SK9001U can be used in conjunction
with relay boxes Art. SK9071 to control lift floor
commands.
The function should be enabled in the SIMPLEKEY
ADVANCED software and on coded badges after the
authorised floors have been selected.
Up to 10 relay boxes Art.SK9071 can be connected
to a unit to control 100 floors.
CONNECTION MODE
Only available with SW installed on a local PC (not
available on the cloud platform simplekey.eu).
The different units in an installation can be connected
in a network to manage the following functions from
the managing PC:

Changing unit parameters.
•
Setting the date and time.
•
Recalling events.
•
Remote opening command.
•
Instant removal of a lost badge.
Up to 32 units can be managed in a network within
an installation.
RS485 cabled network with USB converter Art.
SK9073. It is essential to restore the logic address
on the unit so that it corresponds with the value
provided by the software. To do so, use button S1,
issuing the number of pulses corresponding to the
address (from 1 to 32), then confirm by pressing and
holding S1 for 5 seconds.
