SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
Failure to follow these Setup Instructions may result in serious injury or death, and/or property damage.
1. Refer to exploded view drawing on page 5 to identify wheel dolly components.
2. Install the swivel casters (#22) on the bottom of the base weldment (#1) with the bolts (#23) and lock washers (#15) provided.
3. Align the 3 mounting holes in the support bracket ( #5 ) with the three holes in the upright post (#2) and the base weldment (#1). Secure all components
together with the bolts (#18), washers (#19), lock washers (#20) and nuts (#21).
4. Secure the swivel caster (#24) to the slide weldment (#10) with the bolts (#25), washers (#26) and nuts (#27) as shown in the exploded view drawing on
page 5.
5. Screw the Acme rod (#9 ) inside the slide weldment (#10) and place the ball bearing (#7) on top of the Acme rod. Install the slide weldment (#10) in to the
tube in the support bracket (#5) until the Acme rod comes through the top of the support bracket tube. Secure the crankshaft handle (#6) to the Acme rod
with the hex bolt (#28), washer (#29) and nut (#30).
6. Slide the mobile rack (#3) on the upright posts (#2). Secure the connecting rods (#17) on either side of the tabs at the bottom of the mobile rack (#3) with
the bolts (#14), washers (#15) and nuts (#16). Secure the opposite ends of the connecting rods (#17) on either side of the rotating tabs in the back of the
base weldment (#1) with the bolts (#14), washers (#15) and nuts (#16).
7. Raise the mobile rack (#3) high enough so the bottle jack (#31) can fit within the locator guides at the top of the support bracket (#5). Now lower the mobile
rack so the receiver tube at the bottom of the rack slides over the ram portion of the bottle jack.
8. Secure the handle (#4) to the top of the upright post (#2) with the bolts (#12) and washers (#13) provided.
9. The chain links of the safety chain (#11) can fit in the corresponding slots in the handle (#4).
PURGING AIR FROM THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:
a. Open the release valve by turning the release valve knob in a counterclockwise direction two full turns.
b. Pump the handle ten full strokes.
c. Close the release valve by turning the release valve knob in a clockwise direction until tight.
d. Pump the jack until the ram is extended to maximum height.
e. Repeat steps "a" through "d" until air is purged from the system.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Failure to follow these Operating Instructions may result in serious injury or death, and/or property damage.
1. A hydraulic bottle jack is used on the wheel dolly. Become familiar with the operation of the bottle jack. The jack's release valve must be turned in a
clockwise direction until tight before the jack can be pumped. Turning the release valve very slowly in a counterclockwise direction lowers the load in
a safe controlled manner. There should never be a reason to turn the release valve in a counterclockwise direction more than two full turns.
2. Bottle jacks are used to lift tire and wheel combinations that are supported by the lift arms. Raise the vehicle with a jack so the wheels to be removed
clear the ground. Support the vehicle with jack stands. Make sure vehicle is properly blocked. It may be necessary to loosen the lug nuts before lifting.
3. This dolly is equipped with a screw adjustable rear caster that is manually raised or lowered to match the spindle angle.
4. After the vehicle is raised and correctly blocked, push the wheel dolly in towards the tire/wheel combination to be lifted. The wheel dolly lift arms should
straddle the tire, and the sidewall of the tire should be as close as possible to the vertical portion of the lift member. Raise the lift arms to meet the tire(s)
and adjust the lift arm angles so the arms are in full contact with the tire(s).
5. Secure the tire/wheel combination to the dolly with the safety restraint chain provided. Wrap the chain around the tire and secure the chain hook or chain
loop to the dolly. Remove the lug nuts.
6. Continue to lift the tire/wheel combination until the entire weight is supported by the dolly lift arms. Back the dolly away to remove the tire/wheel
combination.
7. When mounting wheels, load the wheels on the dolly and secure them to the dolly with the chain. Maneuver the dolly into alignment with the axle.
