Operation and Maintenance
The filter element should be regularly
inspected for signs of saturation.
Replace the filter element before it is satu-
rated with oil.
First remove the screw cap by turning the
filter housing in an anticlockwise direction
(see Fig. 4 on page 28). Then remove the
30 loose disks of the filter element from the
housing by taking them out one by one.
Clean the interior of the filter housing.
Finally insert the new disks one by one.
Grease the O-ring, vor instance using sili-
cone oil or teflon spray (see Fig. 5 on page
29), and reattach the screw cap.
Note: Always loosen or tighten the screw
cap manually. Never use tools for this pur-
pose (see Figs. 6 and 7 on page 29).
After fastening the cover, check the seal of
the filter housing cover.
If this cover does not close properly, bilge

water may escape through the O-ring!
In order to prevent freezing and thus dam-
age of the bilge water / oil separator on cold
winter days, the bilge water must be
drained off.
To drain the water, remove the hose cou-
plings; the filter housing does not have a
drain valve.
