Push two CROSS-SLOTTED DOWELS (24F) into the STRETCHER (K)

as shown.
NOTE: The threads in the DOWEL should be pointed toward the hole in

the edge of the STRETCHER.
Next, fi ll the holes in the short edges of the STRETCHER (K) 1/4 to 1/2
å
full with GLUE (54M).
Fasten the STRETCHER (K) to the SKIRTS (L and M). Use two BLACK
å
2-3/8" FLAT HEAD BOLTS (103S).
NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the SKIRTS
å
insert into the holes in the STRETCHER. Wipe
away the excess glue.
Caution
!
Inspect the parts thoroughly before
assembling. Disassembly of glued
parts is extremely diffi cult.
You will need to widen the
SKIRTS (L and M) slightly to
fasten the STRETCHER (K)
between them.
