8. WATER CONNECTION

The washing machine are equipped with electro
valves of cold and hot water inlet (and/or hard
water): each water inlet is marked b y a sticker:
about connection referring
technical data. Drainage electro valve filters
shortly and gate valve has to be set before the
flexible hose in order to be able to stop manually
the water flow at any time either for emergency or
maintenance.
You have to install checkable water filter and we
recommend to check the drainage electro valve
filters shortly after the first operating of the
machine in particular when the water feeding
system is old or has not been used for sometime.
Either the cold water and the hot water
electro valve (and the hard water
electro valve for hot water machines)
should be fed: should there no be hot
water (and/or hard water), you must
connect the valve in parallel to the cold
water.
As regards the drainage, the machines are
equipped with normally opened valves; in case of
power failure the valves will remain opened and
let water outflow.
Where there are more than one machine, the
drainage should be of a diameter large enough to
allow the fast flow of dirty water from all the
machines.
By law the industrial washer should have a natural
drainage and therefore should not have any
incline or obstructions to the flow: a minimum
descent of 2% is required.

9. STEAM CONNECTION

Steam heated machines should be connected to
steam generator.
Its operating limits are included in the technical
data. We recommend to work at pressure
between 0,5 and 5 bar; if the machine maintains
this range, the higher the pressure the less the

time necessary to complete the heating program.
The machines can be direct steam heated namely
a venturi injector inlets the steam flow directly into
the drum. The installer should attach a manual
steam cut-off valve outside the machine and a
steam filter; the correct electro valve operating
depends on the filter
serviceable.
In indirect steam heated machines the steam
enters the drum through a coil and returns back to
the steam generator. The installer should attach a
manual steam cut-off valve outside the machine, a
steam filter and moreover
collector to be connected where the steam exit
from the machine.
Furthermore we recommend to install a gate valve
on the steam return circuit, respect required
gradients and install no return valves.

10. ELECTRIC CONNECTION

On the rear panel of the high spin washing
machines, there is a quadripole switch. All the
electric connections must be made only on this
switch; a duly dimensioned multipole feed cable
should be inserted in the cable holder located in
the machine rear and connected to the switch.

On the rear panel of the low spin washing
machines, all the electric connections must be
connected only to a series of clamps. See the
picture.
For low spin washing machines, it is necessary to
check during the first test that during the spinning
the drum turns in clockwise. If not provide to
change the position of the two phases.
The multipole cable must be connected by an
interlocked current tap with delayed fuses.
