Safety devices

This appliance is equipped with a safety device that prevents the engine from starting until
the food processor bowl (4) or the blender jar (10) and lids (6 and 11) are correctly fitted. If
these conditions are met and your appliance does not work, contact your retailer's after-sales
service.
This appliance also has a protection device against overheating. If the temperature gets too
high, the unit will automatically turn off and resume operation when the engine has cooled
down sufficiently (after about 15 minutes).

before first use

• Remove all packaging materials.
• Clean all removable parts (except the motor unit) with a soft sponge and hot water with
washing-up liquid. Rinse with clean water and thoroughly dry using a soft cloth.
WARNING! The knife blades (9 and 13) and slicing
discs (15 and 16) are sharp. Handle them with care.
