ENGLISH
The Klein Tools Distance Meter determines the length of a particular cable
by measuring the total capacitance of the cable attached to the unit and
comparing that to a preset or user defi ned capacitance per foot variable.
The Klein Tools Distance Meter has two alligator clip leads, an RJ-style
twisted pair plug and a coaxial F-connector jack for input into the meter.
The unit comes pre-programmed with nominal length constants for the
following cables:
•
RG-59 coaxial
•
RG-6 coaxial
•
RG-11 coaxial
•
Cat3 twisted pair
•
Cat5e twisted pair
•
Cat6 twisted pair
User mode allows the user to adjust the capacitance per foot constant,
based on the cable that needs to be tested.
The Klein Tools Distance Meter is powered by a standard 9V battery.
