Note: Be sure to leave all hardware loose until installation is complete
1.
Remove Fascia
1.
Remove (12) push rivets located on the lower side of the fascia
2.
Using a screw driver, remove (4) screws located in each wheel well
3.
Remove taillight by removing the (1) screw located inside the hatch opening, underneath the screw cover. Carefully pull the taillight rearward
4.
Remove (2) screws under the hatch, near trunk opening
5.
Remove fascia. If equipped: detach the rear sensor plugs from the fascia before removing fascia

Lower exhaust – using a 12mm socket, remove (2) nuts that secure the exhaust hangers on each side of the vehicle. Using exhaust removal pliers, lower the muffler by removing the (2) forward exhaust
hangers in front of the rear axel. Note: be sure to secure the exhaust before lowering.

Remove the heat shields using a 10mm socket remove (6) screws from each heat shield. Set aside for later reinstallation. Using a screwdriver, remove the center fascia support on the bumper. If
interference occurs, use pliers to bend the metal fascia support out of the way.
4.
Install support brackets – remove the foam tape from the side of the frame and the plug from the access holes on the bottom of the vehicle frame. If needed, remove the caulking from the frame. Insert
the coiled end of the pullwire into the mounting hole and out the access hole. Insert the wire through the block (item 5) and attach the 7/16 bolt (item 1), see figure 2. Pull the wire and align the bolt with
the mounting hole. Raise the support bracket into position and attach the bracket using (3) M10x1.25x40mm bolts (item 3) and (3) conical tooth washers (item 2). Repeat the process for the bracket on
the other side of the vehicle.
5.
Raise hitch into position – attach using item 6, 7, and 8.

Torque all 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*m), all 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*m), and all 10mm CL10.9 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*m).
7.
Trim heat shield according to figure 3
8.
Trim fascia according to figure 4 and replace fascia by reversing step 1 including the heatshields, exhaust, and taillights.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
